How Plinko Works in Crypto Casinos

A ball drops from the top of a triangular peg board and bounces left or right at each row with equal probability (50/50). The final landing slot determines your multiplier. More rows = more possible outcomes = smoother distribution.

Risk Levels Explained

  • Low Risk: Tight multiplier range. Most drops land near 1x. Maximum multiplier is lower but losses are small. Best for conservative bankroll management.
  • Medium Risk: Balanced spread. Center slots pay below 1x, but edges offer decent multipliers. Good middle ground.
  • High Risk: Extreme volatility. Most drops lose (0.2x), but edge slots can pay 1000x on 16 rows. High variance, high excitement.

Why 16 Rows?

With 16 rows, the ball makes 16 independent left/right decisions, creating 17 possible landing positions. This produces a binomial distribution that closely approximates a bell curve. The more rows, the more extreme the edge multipliers can be (1000x on High Risk).
